About CECMF
Chief Ernie Campbell Memorial Fund (CECMF) was founded in 2017 by Chief Wayne Sparrow to honour late Chief Ernie Campbell, who passed away in 2013.
CECMF provides funds to Musqueam band members for education, personal growth, sports and cultural activities.
While its mission is to serve the Musqueam people, CECMF is separate from Musqueam Indian Band. MIB does not provide funds, and CECMF is governed by a volunteer board of trustees.

About Chief Ernie Campbell
Ernie Campbell served Musqueam for many decades, first as an elected Councillor and then as Chief for twenty years until retiring in 2012. He was widely known as a fierce advocate for the Musqueam people. He was a visionary leader and a tough negotiator who led many successful initiatives on behalf of Musqueam.
Equally important, Chief Campbell believed in the immense power of sport and education to make people’s lives better, teach important lessons, and connect community. Ernie valued Musqueam culture and history, believing that no one else defines who we are as Musqueam people… our ancestors did, we do, and our children will.
