Updated February 2023
Hello from the Musqueam Community Planning team!
We want you to know that the Musqueam Census is coming!
This is an important survey that will update our community’s demographic data, priorities and directions for the future.
The Musqueam Census is open to all Musqueam community members – including registered band members, family/household members of registered band members, and MIB staff. This is a survey by Musqueam, for Musqueam – the data is owned and kept by MIB and is not collected by or shared with any other governments or partners.
You can see the results from the most recent Musqueam Census here:

This page will be updated soon with information about how to participate in the upcoming Musqueam Census.
What is community planning?
nə́c̓aʔmat tə šxʷqʷeləwən ct (We are of one heart and mind) is both the name of our comprehensive community plan and the vision that guides it.
nə́c̓aʔmat tə šxʷqʷeləwən ct draws inspiration from the traditional Musqueam spindle whorl, which represents a unifying power, bringing individual fibers together to create a single strand of wool. Much like the spindle whorl weaves together fibers, this plan weaves together different elements of our community to set out a strong, unified vision that connects us all.
Musqueam’s Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP) is a high-level holistic plan that encompasses the key planning areas for our community and establishes important values and recommendations that guide other plans we may develop. It is also community driven, meaning that the vision, objectives, and actions in this plan are the direct reflection of our community’s input.
The 2018 Comprehensive Community Plan update builds on our original CCP and vision. The update of this document involved extensive community engagement to generate new actions that help meet the community objectives developed through the original CCP.
