COVID-19 Update | January 13, 2021

January 13, 2021

COVID-19 update for Wednesday, January 13, 2021

We are happy to report there are no active cases of COVID-19 on Musqueam Reserve.

The health protocols that were put in place by Council on Jan. 7 expire tonight. These protocols ensured no further transmission of these specific cases, and meant we were successful in isolating and testing individuals. Provincial health orders are in place until February 5, 2021, and we still ask that community members follow these guidelines and not gather with people from outside their household bubbles.

hay čxʷ q̓ə to the Musqueam community for following Council’s recommendations, and to the family for coming forward and sharing their story. Together, we got through our first confirmed cases, showing that we are prepared and come together when it matters most.

Big thank you to the Musqueam staff and COVID-19 emergency team, especially Acting CAO Devin Sharma and Health Manager Coreen Paul, who have worked for months to prepare our community for this pandemic.
