Musqueam COVID-19 update for January 22, 2021

Earlier this week, Musqueam confirmed one active COVID-19 case on reserve and public health officials underwent contact tracing. Today we confirm that this case is contained and there is no further community spread on Musqueam Reserve.

Musqueam Council’s stay-in-place recommendation is lifted tonight at midnight. But we ask that you still try to stay home as much as possible.

Vaccine update –> Chief Sparrow and Musqueam Health met with Vancouver Coast Health this week, and will meet again next week to further discuss Musqueam’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

With the confirmation of new COVID variants in BC, we want to remind members who are 19-25 years old to be especially vigilant.
