COVID-19 Basics & Fundamentals
- Wash your hands frequently; avoid touching your eyes, nose, & mouth; Stay home if you are ill! Even with mild symptoms
- Wear a face mask, covering, if you are out and about; especially if physical distancing cannot be achieved
- Keep your social circle small; avoid large gatherings, especially with people you don’t know; maximum 6 to a group
- Fewer faces, bigger spaces! The more people you interact with, the more chance someone will have COVID-19
- A good idea to keep track is to write on your calendar > who you came into contact with, or where you were (for contact tracing)
- If you’re exposed to a presumptive or confirmed case, self-isolate for 14 days; monitor your symptoms, CALL the CHN (604-362-9200) or your Care Provider if you develop symptoms (do NOT show up to your doctor’s office, call first!); 811 for after hrs/wknds
