Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) offices remain closed due to COVID-19.
Expired Status Cards
Please be aware that processing times for Indian status and secure status cards are delayed.
If your status card expires during the pandemic, you can still use it until ISC offices reopen.
Service providers are advised to accept status cards or Temporary Confirmation of Registration Documents (TCRDs) past the renewal date, if accompanied by a second piece of identification.
ISC is reminding businesses and service providers that Indian status does not expire. Registration numbers required to confirm programs and services eligibility remain the same after the renewal date.
For more information, please read the below pdf update from ISC.

Register a newborn
If you need to register a newborn during this time, please contact MIB Membership Department directly by emailing Jocelyn Campbell-Axson ([email protected]) or call MIB reception (604-263-3261) and request to speak to the Membership Department.
Do not send your application directly to ISC until they reopen to staff and the public. Documents sent to ISC after February 2020 will not be returned until ISC offices reopens.
