Christmas Dinner Gift Cards 2024

November 26, 2024
By Odette Wilson

Musqueam Council & Administration are gifting Musqueam households $75 Save-On-Foods gift cards to go towards Christmas dinner this year!

Members can complete an online form to request their household’s gift card.

Click here to complete the request form

One gift card per Musqueam household

  • A “Musqueam household” is a family (or individual) living at one address with at least one registered Musqueam band member.
  • If two people from the same household request a gift card, we may contact one or both people to confirm who will pick it up.
  • Members living in rental units within another band member’s house are considered a separate household from the homeowners, even if they share the same address.

Please use your first and last name as it appears on the membership list (or your Status Card) in case we need to verify your identity.

The deadline to request a gift card is Sunday, December 15.

Gift Card Pick Up

Musqueam & Metro Van

Gift cards will be available to pick up from the band office starting on Friday, November 29 (the same day as voting and distribution) until Wednesday, December 18.

Pick up on election day!

On November 29, Karen Grant will be in the main boardroom of the band office handing out gift cards from 9am – 7pm. We encourage band members to come vote, get your distribution cheque, and pick up your household’s gift card!

If you can’t make it on Nov. 29, come by the band office during regular office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30, closed for lunch) to pick up a gift card. If you let Karen know ahead of time, she will leave it at the front desk for pick up.

Authorize someone else to pick up

Members can also authorize someone else to pick up a gift card on their behalf. Please indicate on the request form the name of the person picking up and whether they are:

  • a non-band member within the same household picking up for the household
  • a band member outside the household picking up on your behalf

We will not release gift cards to people on behalf of a band member without authorization, and may contact you to confirm directly.

Gift Card Delivery

Outside Metro Vancouver

We are working on solutions to ensure gift cards are still delivered to band member who live far from Musqueam during the Canada Post postal workers strike.

  • If you are local and able to travel to Musqueam, or have a family member who can pick up a gift card for you, please consider those options.
  • If you are unable to pick up, please include your contact information in the request form and we will contact you directly to make arrangements.

Members who do not live close to a Save-On-Foods can request a President’s Choice gift card that can be used at a variety of Loblaws grocery stores, including Superstore, No Frills, City Market, and Wholesale Club. If a President’s Choice grocery store is also inaccessible, please include that in the comments section of the form.
