Housing Resources and Reminders
Reminder for social housing and section 95 tenants: Musqueam Housing must be informed about any tenants moving in or out of your residence, per the signed rental agreement.
Recently, Musqueam has experienced a sewer backup due to grease build up in the sewer lines. Please do not put grease or oil down your drain.
- Each tenant is responsible for contributing towards the monthly rent.
- Rent is due on the first of each month.
Rent is collected on Monday afternoons, or call 604-269-3381 to meet at the band office.
The acceptable forms of payment are:
- Money order
- Pre-authorized debit (PAD)
- E-transfer: [email protected] (include your name and address)
- payroll deduction for Musqueam Indian Band Employees
We encourage e-transfers or PAD to decrease the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Please remember to contact Musqueam Housing if your phone number or email address changes.
Musqueam Community Rental Complex (MCRC)
The MCRC is a multi-family affordable housing project that will be located at Lot 95, Crown Place in Musqueam Reserve. The project will create 46 new rental units for Musqueam members and their families, and a new daycare centre for up to 28 children.
To qualify to be an MCRC tenant, at least one member of the household must be a Musqueam member. Eligibility will be based on BC Housing’s income limits, and rent will be based on 30% of gross household income. Units will be assigned by household size.
Applications are separate from the housing priority list. Members can apply for both lists.
In October 2021, the MCRC project team released a new information booklet that provides an overview of the MCRC project, site and buildings information, design concepts and the progress to date.
We are still in the planning phase of this project. Construction and policy development has not started, which means the application process is not defined yet. To get the latest updates about the project, sign up for the email list by emailing [email protected]
