VPL: Central Children’s Library
The Vancouver Public Library is looking to commission one artist from either Musqueam, Squamish or Tsleil-Waututh to create an original design for the Children’s Library within the Vancouver Public Library Central Library.
The Children’s Library is undergoing its first significant renovation since the Central Library opened 30 years ago, and the selected artist will create a two dimensional artwork design that will be located over 6 existing columns within the library as part of the renovation project.

FLEET: Emerging Indigenous Artist Residency
FLEET Mobile Artist Studios, a project building artist studio on wheels, is launching an Open Call for Emerging Artists from xʷməθkʷəyəm, Sḵwxwú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ and Urban Indigenous Communities for residencies at the FLEET studio currently located on Granville Island.
This is a self-directed residency for artists and cultural practitioners to develop their practice, create work, or engage with the community. Residency periods are four weeks long, and will take place in winter 2024-2025.

kʷasən village (Willingdon Lands)
kʷasən village (formerly Willingdon Lands) is co-owned by Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Aquilini Development. The project is working with HOST Consulting to create an artist collective of Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh weavers and graphic artists.

From each nation, one weaving mentor, one weaving mentee, and one graphic artist will be selected to work on several art opportunities within kʷasən village.
The Musqueam weavers will act as thematic curators and will complete a wool weaving per nation for permanent display. Under a separate budget, weavers will also develop related weaving programming for Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh communities.
The Musqueam graphic artist will create a digital design for a building facade, in collaboration with the weavers, and produce additional design-only elements in collaboration with the Aquilini design team.

Community Living BC
Community Living BC (CLBC) is a crown corporation of the BC government with approximately 30 offices around the province. They fund for services for adults living with developmentally disabilities. Their main office is situated on Musqueam territory at 1200 West 73rd Ave. Vancouver, BC.
They are looking for a piece of artwork to install in our main office to recognize and honour the unique landscape, water, and culture of this land through the placement of artwork that reflects and celebrates the rich culture of Musqueam Nation.
Open to submissions in two-dimensional and three-dimensional mediums including sculpture, painting, photography, digital art, and drawing. Should be original, created within the past three years, and be ready to hang or display.
