Community is invited to attend the announcement event on the new bridge deck

Musqueam has been working with the Province of BC’s Ministry of Transportation and Transit on the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project since 2016. The new bridge is nearing completion and is expected to open by Christmas.

The bridge’s location is an area of great significance to Musqueam. To recognize our connections to the territory and our partnership on this project, the bridge will have a hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ name chosen by Musqueam and Kwantlen First Nation.

Council and administration are excited to announce the new bridge’s name, and we invite community to join us for this historical event.

Location & Transportation

Because the bridge is still closed, access to the event site is very limited. There is no car or pedestrian access or nearby parking.

To get to the event, Musqueam guests can take the shuttle, which will drop off on the bridge deck, very close to the event.

This event will be inside heated tents, as well as outdoors.
