Location: Cultural Centre
You are invited to have lunch and workshop with folks working in museums, archives, libraries and galleries in the lower mainland.
The Musqueam Archives department is co-hosting a workshop with the BC Museums Association called Candid Actionable Reconciliation Education (CARE). The purpose is to help the people that work in the institutionalized heritage system be able to respectfully and appropriately engage in building relationships with the communities whose land they occupy.
You are invited to attend the entire workshop, to either listen or contribute. Or feel free to just pop in for lunch. This is a great opportunity to come talk to a few folks about your concerns or joys with the heritage sector, or to meet and network if you are interested in working in this field.
October 21, 9:00-4:30, lunch at 11:30am
October 22, 9:00-4:30, lunch at 12 noon.
