Musqueam Canoe Races 2021

Musqueam welcomes First Nation communities to our territory for canoe races on Saturday, August 14 & Sunday, August 15!

Everyone is welcome to watch from the shore. If possible, community members are encouraged to walk or ride a bike to the races, to save parking for out of town visitors.

Only boats associated with the canoe races will be allowed on the water (no spectator boats).

Designated Elders parking is available.

Please note safety guidelines:

• The only boats that can be on the water are designated committee race boats. NO community spectator boats allowed on the water during the races.
• FISHERS: For the safety of the judges and racers, please do not launch boats from August 13 – 15 at the Musqueam beach.
• RECREATIONAL BOATERS: Be mindful that traffic will be limited on the north arm of Fraser River by Musqueam Reserve on August 14 & 15. Please expect delays and avoid the area between 10am and 8pm.  For the safety of the participants, enforcement vessels will be on the water.
