Online Information Session: Draft Lands Law

Band members are invited to attend this online information session to learn about the Musqueam Subdivision, Development and Servicing Law. Zoom meeting details are below.

About the Musqueam Subdivision, Development and Servicing Law

The purpose of the law is to make sure that Musqueam is:

• protecting our reserve land
• the use of reserve land is well planned
• community’s interests in land development are met
• benefits from developments
• have a safe and high quality of construction
• protected against against liability.

The Musqueam Subdivision, Development and Servicing Law follows the law-making process set out in the Musqueam Land Code. The Land Code Committee and legal counsel are continuing to review and revise the draft law. We welcome any questions or comments. The committee and the Musqueam Lands Governance Office will be finalizing a draft of the law along application checklists and permit requirements to bring to Musqueam Council for approval in the near future.
