What would help you feel safe, comfortable, and have fun?
Improving active transportation infrastructure in Musqueam is a priority for community members of all ages.
Active transportation includes all forms of human-powered movement that gets you to a destination, like walking, cycling, scooting, or rolling in wheelchairs or strollers.
Improving active transportation infrastructure could include building sidewalks, creating new bike and walking pathways, or creating new signage.
Active Transportation Planning
Musqueam’s Active Transportation Plan will help identify and address opportunities for immediate improvements in Musqueam for safer walking, cycling and rolling.
The plan will also look at future developments in community and associated transportation needs. This could include new signage, walk and bike pathways, and other active transportation infrastructure.
There are two ways to give your input:
- Community survey open from July 26-August 9
- Community dinner on July 26
The Active Transportation Plan is being developed as part of the Musqueam Village (IR2) Plan for the safety, accessibility, and comfort of all Musqueam community members.

We want to hear from all community members, especially if you already walk, roll, or bike around Musqueam!

Thinking About Our Community (Village)
xʷqʷəlqʷəliwən ct ʔə tə sʔa:nɬ xʷəlməxʷ
The Musqueam Village (IR2) Plan is an extension of our Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP), and will help guide future development and protection of Musqueam lands at the heart of our community.
In the CCP, we identified priorities and objectives for the future of Musqueam Village. These priorities addressed several community needs, including more and better housing, healthcare, and job opportunities, as well as steps toward self-governance, preserving history and culture, and providing resources for future generations.
