Musqueam is pleased to announce that Robyn McVicker joined Musqueam Administration as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) on Monday, June 9, 2025.
Robyn brings extensive experience in executive leadership, strategic planning, communications, and government relations. She has also worked with Musqueam Administration in her previous roles at YVR and Invictus Games.
Big thank you to Norm Point who filled in as acting CAO since January. Leadership and administration is grateful that Norm is always willing to step up for Musqueam and provide his expertise when needed.
Message from Robyn
I am honoured to serve as Musqueam CAO. I first got to know Musqueam when I was working with YVR on the Friendship and Sustainability Agreement, including its implementation and community consultations. To this day, the most delicious salmon of my life was at the feast celebrating the agreement signing. I was truly humbled to be blanketed by Leadership that day for the small role I played in the agreement.
After YVR, I led the Invictus Games 2025 as Chief Operating Officer in partnership with the Four Host Nations. Musqueam’s involvement in the Games was life-changing for the athletes and their supporters, and its impact cannot be overstated. I am confident that together we set a precedent for how to involve Indigenous communities in future international events.
One reason I am drawn to this role is Musqueam’s deeply held value of family, which I also hold very dear. Some of you may know my brother Scotty from Milltown, and many nieces and nephews. I come from a very big family that laughs out loud, feasts together and is there for each other – no matter what. I see those same qualities here in this community as well.
On my first day, I had a chance to talk with the whole team and shared that I am someone who loves to help others succeed, build capacity, create systems and plans, build strategies and, more than anything else, drive positive results and outcomes for the benefit of the organization.
And this organization is here to serve Musqueam Members and do what we can to ensure you have the supports you need and to secure the future for generations to come. I look forward to meeting each person and welcome the opportunity to connect with you.
