Preliminary Nominations List for Chief and Council

Musqueam Indian Band has called an election for November 30, 2020 to elect one chief and ten councillors for the next term of office. Yesterday, Musqueam and OneFeather held a successful, COVID-safe nominations meeting, and today OneFeather released the preliminary nominations list for Musqueam Chief and Council. Thank you to everyone who followed the COVID-19 safety guidelines and continues to keep our community safe during this global pandemic.

Confirming Your Nomination

Five people were nominated for Office of Chief, and 38 were nominated for Office of Councillor. Individuals accepting their nomination must sign and submit the Candidate Acceptance Form by Friday, October 30, 2020 to OneFeather.

Musqueam Chief and Council Election

Voting is in person on November 30, following strict COVID-19 protocols, and by mail.

Due to COVID-19, electors are encouraged to submit mail-in ballots if possible. To request a mail-in ballot, contact Jocelyn Campbell-Axson or the Electoral Officers, or visit the Musqueam Election Webpage.
